Yoga Retreat on the Green River

Adrift Adventures, a wilderness whitewater rafting company in Dinosaur National Monument, has announced a four-day Green River rafting trip and yoga retreat in Gates of Lodore August 2-5, 2013.

Participants will warm their muscles each morning with Paddle Yoga, a unique sequence of postures where the paddle is used as a prop, according yoga retreat organizer, Cariann Brown, certified yoga therapist and Phoenix Rising yoga teacher.

“The river becomes a metaphor for learning how to overcome obstacles and stay focused on your path through the rapids of life,” Brown said. “Participants will enjoy four days of rafting, yoga, hiking, dancing, storytelling, meditation, campfires and lots of laughter.”

  1. Great rhetoric ~ “The river becomes a metaphor for learning how to overcome obstacles and stay focused on your path through the rapids of life,” Brown said. “Participants will enjoy four days of rafting, yoga, hiking, dancing, storytelling, meditation, campfires and lots of laughter.”

I recall many years ago going on a canoe trip along the Pigeon River with other couples . . .OMG…I can’t even tell you the obstacles along the way laced with fun and laughter. I’m recalling a 5-hour trip turning into a 8-hour one. I learned how to paddle that canoe with perfection pretty quick. Thanks for sharing!
